The SPCA of Wake County offers a variety of fun and educational services for children of ages.
Preschoolers and Pets: A fun outing for parents and preschoolers
Do you have children under age 5? Are you looking for an opportunity to share time with them and introduce them to animals? Check out the “Preschoolers and Pets” programs offered at the SPCA Pet Adoption Center.
Each month the program focuses on a different animal-related theme. Programs include songs, rhymes, movement, and stories.
Programs take place twice a month. Most occur on the first Tuesday of the month at 11:15-11:45 am and the third Wednesday at 11:15-11:45am. To see a schedule for each month, visit the Events calendar and click on "Kids & Pets."
Because of space limitations, we request that you sign-up ahead of time (click on "Kids & Pets"). A $1 donation per person is requested to help support the SPCA Humane Education program. The "Preschoolers and Pets" program takes place in the Critter Outfitters retail shop at the SPCA Adoption Center off Tryon Road. The Critter Outfitters is located off of the main lobby of the Adoption Center.
Please contact our Humane Educator at 532-2087 or vbudnick@spcawake.org with questions. Learn more about bringing "Preschoolers and Pets" to your group.
