The SPCA of Wake County operates two separate animal shelters and a low-cost spay/neuter clinic. Each facility serves a different purpose.

> The SPCA Pet Adoption Center in Raleigh is the facility to visit if you are looking to add a pet to your home through our adoption program.

> The SPCA Holding Center in Garner is the intake facility for all animals entering our adoption program. It is not open to the public. If you are looking to give up your pet, you must make an appointment with the SPCA Holding Center.

> The Saving Lives Spay/Neuter Animal Clinic, an initiative of the SPCA, is located at 300 Petfinder Lane beside the SPCA Adoption Center. It provides high-quality, affordable spay/neuter surgeries for pets by appointment only.

From the 440 beltline, take exit 298A and travel south on South Saunders Street, which is also 401 South and Hwy. 70 East.
Go approximately 1.5 miles and pass under the Wilmington Street overpass. (Look for Taco Bell on your right.)
Get into the right lane and take a right at the next signal light onto Tryon Road.
Go 0.4 miles and turn left onto Withers Road.
Go one-tenth of a mile and turn left onto Petfinder Lane.
Follow the road to the right. It will curve around to the front of the SPCA Pet Adoption Center.

The SPCA Holding Center is not open to the public.

If you need to give up your pet or bring in a stray animal to enter our Adoption Program, please read this first and then call 919-772-3203 to schedule an appointment.

Directions:
Take I-40 East.
Get off at Exit 306 (for Highway 70 and  Garner).
As you come down the exit ramp, bear right towards Garner.
Go approximately 1 mile on Highway 70 West.
You will pass Agri Supply and Ditch Witch.
The SPCA Lost & Found Pet Center is the next driveway on the right after the Ditch Witch driveway.

Saving Lives Spay/Neuter Animal Clinic

Hours:
The Saving Lives Spay/Neuter Animal Clinic is not open to the public.
Spay/neuter surgeries are by appointment only.
