Crate Cleaning
This task is listed on the schedule calendar every day from 1:30 to 2:30, but the time you come can be anytime during the day. Except, for first time volunteers who will need training, please avoid the Dog Butler shifts (7-9, 11-1, 4-6, 8-9) as the staff will not be available then to show you how to do this task. Bleach water dilution will be sprayed to clean the crates, so dress appropriately.

Location #4 at 3600 Yates Mill Pond Rd. is closest to the SPCA
Can you help us manage our recycling. It involves loading up the cardboard and other recyclables in your vehicle and taking the items to a recycle location. There is a map to this site and other locations at the above link. The items for recycling are stored in the hallway near the employee entrance. Any staff person can show you where and unlock the side door for you to load. If you can help, please feel free to check that area the next time you are here for a shift. No need to schedule it, just let a staff person know if you need access to the door to load the items.

There are two levels of volunteering opportunities, basic and advanced. All volunteers must attend a required basic volunteer orientation session (click here for schedule). Advanced volunteer tasks will require additional training and/or volunteer experience.
